Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Physician Assistant/Associate to join our practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in primary care, be proficient in placing intravenous catheters, and possess ACLS/BLS certification. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly specialized setting, focusing on the treatment of TRD and contributing to the mental health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Provide medication management for patients with depression and other mental health conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Administer advanced treatments, including Esketamine and Ketamine, following thorough training in intervention psychiatry protocols.
- Perform procedural tasks such as placing intravenous catheters with a high degree of proficiency.
- Monitor and manage patient safety during interventions in accordance with ACLS/BLS standards.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and address their questions and concerns.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent.
- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant/Associate.
- At least 5 years of experience in primary care.
- Proven proficiency in placing intravenous catheters.
- ACLS/BLS certification required.
- Strong interest in psychiatry and willingness to undergo training in the management of treatment-resistant depression.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Preferred Requirements
- Past clinical experience with psychiatric population
- Knowledge of advanced treatment modalities such as Esketamine, Ketamine, or TMS.
