Dr. Holloway’s training includes a Psychiatry Residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, where he served as a Chief Resident from 2022 to 2023. During his residency, he also trained as an independent investigator in the Neuroscience Research Training Program (NRTP) at Yale New Haven Hospital, further honing his research skills and knowledge in trauma, stress, anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and depression.

Throughout his career, Dr. Holloway has made significant contributions to the field of psychiatry through his research. He has been involved in various studies focusing on topics such as racial and ethnic disparities in psychiatry, how stressful and traumatic events impact mental health and aging, and how alterations in neurotransmitters like serotonin, glutamate, and dopamine translate to psychiatric illnesses such as schizophrenia, depression and PTSD. His work has been published in reputable journals, including Academic Psychiatry, Nature Neuroscience, and the Journal of Neuroscience.
As an active member of the medical community, Dr. Holloway has presented his research at national conferences such as the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Society of Biological Psychiatry. In addition, Dr. Holloway has been featured in national news media including the Wall Street Journal and NBC News. With his extensive training and expertise, Dr. Holloway provides compassionate and evidence-based care to individuals struggling with mental health issues.
