Anne Dutton, MA, LCSW
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapist

Anne Dutton, MA, LCSW, is an integrative psychotherapist. She specializes in combining psychotherapy with mindfulness, somatic therapy, and psychedelic medicine. She is trained in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, psychoanalytic psychology, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

“I have a diverse cultural and linguistic background, having grown up in Japan and done extensive meditation training and academic study there, as well as an eclectic training in various forms and traditions of psychotherapy and somatic modalities. I draw on all of these in my work. However, I believe the real path to healing lies in the relationship between therapist and client.”

She is the former Director of Mindfulness Education at the Yale Stress Center, current Assistant Clinical Professor of Social Work at Yale School of Medicine, and a core faculty member at the Copper Beech Institute in West Hartford, Connecticut, where she teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and other courses and leads mindfulness retreats. Anne holds a certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies and was a study therapist for a multi-year Yale clinical trial of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy as a treatment for depression. She is a Yoga Alliance 500 E-RYT registered Yoga Teacher and is certified as a Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She studied Buddhism at Komazawa University in Tokyo, Japan and holds an MA in Buddhist Studies from Yale University.

As a practitioner who has been in the field for 30 years, I can say Anne is a standout. She has a long and impressive history of exploring the different ways people heal in mind, body, and spirit and a gift for tailoring the best of these traditions in a unique way to address the specific needs of each client. This, coupled with her unshakable presence and strong command of the latest research-based interventions, makes her a highly effective agent of change.
